Every code on your color card, with its name. Use any acrylic paints or colored pencils you like: match them to these swatches, or mix them from a few basic tubes.
Hold your paint or pencil next to the swatch on your printed color card. Screens and home printers shift colors a little, so trust the card next to the real paint.
Start with the lighter paint and add the darker one in small amounts. It takes far less dark paint than you think.
Peach, Golden Tan and Deep Umber are tonal ramps. Neighboring codes are meant to sit side by side; if two look alike, a slightly lighter or darker version works fine.
For the darkest areas a soft black or dark brown often looks more natural than pure black. Warm Gray suits skin shadows and fur, Cool Gray suits sky and stone.
